The brand new Samsung Galaxay Note 7 is being discontinued. Samsung issued a statement on what many are now calling "Death Note 7." "Samsung will ask all carrier and retail partners globally to stop sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note & while the investigation is taking place." This follows after an embarrassing recall last month after reports of the phone over heating and catching fire. Samsung continued on in their statement saying" Consumers with either an original Galaxy Note 7 or replacement Galaxy Note 7 device should power down and stop using the device and take advantages of the remedies available." The drastic move is highly unusual in the technology industry costing Samsung to take a 17 billion dollar hit.
Should Samsung be forced to explain exactly what happen with this epic failure? With phones requiring to do more as ever, could this happen to any of the new smartphones? Share your thoughts and comments below.
